what is it that attracts me to
the attractions in you
what kind of explanation could there
possibly be for figuring out the us
could we blame it all on chemistry
or on artistic vision or
a dreamer's soul or
wanting to control something
is it destiny or
wishful thinking or just
loneliness
that finally gets to us in the end.
what keeps the attraction
from fading away
or has it already, just
blindly ignored
by a couple of kids who
crave to be wanted
and found some sort of solace
in this parallel person
but could it be really real
a slap in the face to the hundreds before
lonely
on its pedastal among the failed.
and where will we go if it
should disappear
two people would be left behind
would we know when to leave
or would we wait with our eyes closed
to feel like we were falling
and escape the reality
of the waste
would we pack up and go home or even
bat an eye as we returned to the state of
loneliness
that we tried so hard to escape
magnified now by our failures?

Jesus doesn't love you, but he thinks you have a great personality. -George Carlin

And then declines forever
To that abhorred abode,
Where hope and he part company-
For he is grasped of God.
Quoted from Drowning is not so Pitiful, Emily Dickinson
I enjoyed it a lot.
I'm glad you liked it.

"This is going to be a weird analogy, but... death is a lot like sex. It's frightening and awkward your first time, but you know you're going to do it anyway. Both are a part of life, so you might as well accept it." ~Chris
